Need a last-minute Valentine's Day idea? We have a few
If you didn't make a reservation but want to do something impromptu, you still have options

Valentine’s Day is this Friday, which means it will be difficult to get a reservation at any nice restaurants that whole weekend. If you’re more of the last-minute type, we have some suggestions for some fabulous spots where we think you might be able to grab a seat at the bar — or even a table if you go early — with your special someone.
One of the city’s popular romantic destinations, Il Bistro, has a large bar area that is just as cozy and features the same menu as the full restaurant. Show up right at 5 p.m. and you’ll almost certainly land a spot, even on the busiest of nights. And if you miss the window, pop down Post Alley to the Alibi Room for a great cocktail and some snacks (if you still have an appetite after walking by the gum wall).
You could also escape the city and head to Anthony’s HomePort on the waterfront in Edmonds. This charming destination is tucked right into the marina and even features guest moorage for those who want to skip the drive and take the boat out instead.
For a beautiful getaway, complete with rose petals, sparkling wine and a beautiful view, pop out to Salish Lodge, which still has a few reservations available for the Valentine’s Day weekend. Call the spa as soon as you book, though, as reservations for spa treatments go fast, and you don’t want to miss the opportunity to spend some time in the soaking pool.
For a cozy atmosphere that’s still a little under the radar, check out We Rise Wines on Second Avenue in downtown Seattle. The new spot just opened and features plush furniture, wines by underrepresented winemakers and delicious snacks. Grab a bottle or two to go, and then swing by DeLaurenti for some fresh-made pasta and sauces to bring home for a quick, romantic meal you can enjoy at your own kitchen table.
